Countdown: 4 minutes! Must go spend as much money as possible! Not really. So, we are about to begin this venture, and I have to admit, I am a bit nervous. How will i do it? Can i do it? Is taking a long hard look at my finances going to cause a panic attack? I guess we will see. Thanks to Cary Norton for helping us with our website. It is not finished yet, but just wait, it is going to kick ass! This website/project (like us) is under construction. It is going to be sick! Merch, blogs, book reviews, etc. But for now it is just us, talking about consumption, finances and the crazy, mixed up consumer society we live in (I mean really, who needs a Hummer in Birmingham...is there some off roading or military reason for this?). I am hoping that this will shed light on my own personal financial state, as well as the pressures single women face to be perfect, look perfect, etc. I don't want to spend my money on gym memberships and tanning and nails and jeans that make my ass look good (ok, maybe some of those). I want to spend it on people and memories and fabric and wine. or to get out of debt. To help my neighbors. Save the whales. plant a tree.

It is 12:02. I guess it has begun. Yikes. I already feel the urge to internet shop for ironic T shirts!
